Beulah Coley, MSW, LCSWA

Accepting clients in person in Hiddenite, and across North Carolina through HIPAA compliant teletherapy.

My name is Beulah (she/her) and I am thrilled to be joining the team at Casa where I will be able to continue providing high-quality therapeutic care. I am available for individual counseling for adults, and incorporate both family and individual counseling with teens and children over age 5.  Some of my areas of interest include working with folks who are living with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, mood disorders, including Bipolar Disorder, family dysfunction, and codependency. I also enjoy working with parents and provide a culturally-attuned environment for folks within the LGBTQIA+ community.

I understand the therapeutic relationship to be the foundation of therapeutic growth. I also believe that a client’s personal commitment to “doing the work” a necessary catalyst for change. If you’re struggling to make this commitment, we will work together to help you establish a sense of your own personal power and agency to promote the growth you are striving for. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, yet I find that most folks need a blend of support and accountability to reach their desired goals.

Depending on your needs, I can incorporate a variety of techniques and interventions within your sessions, always obtaining feedback about what is helpful for you. I am trained in practicing the following modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also often utilize practices based in Mindfulness and Attachment Theory.
