Alexander Yang, LCMHCA, LCAS-A

I graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. I am also certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. I work with adults of all ages and from many walks of life. I integrate various evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. I approach a therapy holistically and seek to help others navigate through difficult seasons of life and address mental health concerns such as but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and substance abuse. I tailor therapy to the individualistic needs of each person as I strive for growth. As a counselor, I seek to build a safe, supportive, therapeutic, non-judgmental and professional relationship with you.

Life will always have its storms and sunny days and sometimes life just finds a way to knock you down. Sometimes the road we walk is smooth as pavement, but sometimes it can be unstable ground ready to collapse. The roads you have walked and the experiences that you have lived through is your story and that story does not have to be scary. I wholeheartedly believe that each person has the incredible capability to heal and overcome any obstacle. The physical body, the mind, and the soul can heal. My goal for therapy is to provide a safe environment to allow for exploring and challenging the struggles of life and possibly revisiting the dark corners of your story and bring it to light.
